As the creative force behind Daily and Special Home Feature Designs, I crafted compelling Homepage and Category Product Placement Banners for Build-A-Bear Workshop’s international websites in the US, Canada, and the UK. I seamlessly integrated these designs into both the current and new website versions, adhering to specific guidelines and standards. Additionally, I orchestrated the timely launch of Home Features, strategically targeting diverse marketing demographics. My toolkit included Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and Flash, ensuring every design was visually stunning and perfectly executed.

Website Design

My primary role involved maintaining the current version of the Build-A-Bear Workshop website while heavily contributing to the design and development of its new iteration. I collaborated closely with developers and served as a crucial liaison between the Internal Digital Marketing and Development teams, as well as with outsourced Java developers and multimedia companies such as Oracle [ATG], DMI Entertainment, and Razorfish. This ensured a smooth migration and transition to the new server-side platform, moving from ASP.NET to Java.

Spearheaded the redesign of numerous website elements to align with the new programming environment. Additionally, I designed and implemented social media applications, promotions, and announcements. My work utilized Oracle [ATG], various social media platforms, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML5, CSS3, XML, jQuery, and Flash within both ASP.NET and Java platforms, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic online presence.

ECommerce

Build-A-Bear Workshop E-Commerce

In my role, I drove the design of engaging e-commerce call-to-action features and managed the comprehensive migration of the entire product catalog. I collaborated with Razorfish to redesign UI elements, ensuring a consistent user experience across the website. My responsibilities also included routine maintenance and e-commerce management, where I set up targeting segmentation, handled media management, and oversaw commerce assets and product management.

Using the ATG Business Control Center (part of the ATG Web Commerce Platform, now Oracle), Java, I effectively managed various aspects of e-commerce operations. This included targeting and segmentation, managing commerce assets, coordinating events and news items, and optimizing product placement and product page management. My work ensured a seamless, user-friendly, and visually appealing online shopping experience.

Microsites

LoveHugsSmiles-Microsite
Huggable Heroes-Microsite

Collaborated extensively with colleagues from the Development and Marketing Teams, as well as with the external Agency, Razorfish, to design key components of the Build-A-Bear Workshop’s online presence. This included the Love.Hugs.Smiles. and Huggable Heroes websites, along with various modular elements throughout the site. I was responsible for the design and development of several Build-A-Bear marketing campaign initiatives and microsites, which were used to support corporate objectives. In these projects, I utilized a broad range of technical skills and tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver for design tasks. Development was carried out using Microsoft Visual Studio, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and jQuery within ASP.NET and Java platforms. These efforts contributed to a cohesive and engaging user experience, aligning with the company’s marketing and sales strategies.
